<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a transparent polymer film to exhibit both of an antireflection performance and an antidazzle performance. <P>SOLUTION: An embossing finish is applied to the antireflection layer side of an antireflection film containing cellulose acylate to impart the antidazzle performance. An embossing roller 22 is provided with an embossing plate with ruggedness on its surface, the embossing plate being formed by negative-discharging using an electrode 38 of copper, working liquid 35a of kerosine and application voltage of 100 to 400 V. The arithmetic mean roughness Ra of the embossing plate is 0.3 to 1.0 μm, the mean ruggedness period is 5 to 30 μm, and the Vickers hardness is 500 to 1,000 Hv. Fine particles having the mean particle diameter of ≤ 1 to 10 μm are contained in the working liquid 35a in 1 to 20 g/liter, and graphite or the like is used as fine particles. The obtained antidazzle-antireflection film 11b is provided with satisfactory antidazzle performance and antireflection performance, thus, a polarizing plate and an image display device using the film 11b has high quality. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
