PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car navigation device capable of searching for a desired route with a simple operation. SOLUTION: When a bridge selection mode is selected by a user, this car navigation device displays a list of bridges corresponding to operation by the user. When the user selects a bridge desired to pass, a route is searched for so as to pass the bridge and a route having the cheapest cost is displayed. When the route is selected by the user, guidance is performed following the selected route. Hereby, when a river exists from the present position to the destination, the route can be set by selecting easily the bridge over the river, to thereby acquire excellent operability.
