PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ESD protective diode having high ESD resistance which can suppress the dissolution of an electrode material caused by heat generation due to an electric field concentration. SOLUTION: In the ESD protective diode where the width of a collector layer 2 is a distance a and the distance between the end of the collector layer 2 at a base layer 3 side and a contact region 8 is a distance b, the distance b is equal to or longer than a half of the distance a.
