PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal processing device and a signal processing method applicable to two-dimensional or three-dimensional data. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a signal processing filter for performing signal processing to a digital signal value in a prescribed dimension extracted along a prescribed route and ordered in time series, by product sum operation relative to a prescribed distribution function. The distribution function is specified by a sampling pitch along the prescribed route and a cutoff frequency along the prescribed route. The signal processing filter has a filter operation execution part for acquiring a filter output value of each component by multiplying the digital signal value by the distribution function of each component.
