The invention relates to an electrically driven suction unit (1) for a vacuum cleaner, said suction unit suctioning the air (S) which is to be filtered (S) via a suction pipe (2). Said air is guided through a filter (3) in such a manner that by an essentially vertical (V) upwardly directed airflow (4) at least partially blows through the filter (3) during filtering. According to the invention, the filter (3) is connected to a dust vacuum container (5) in order to improve hygiene during the removal of dust. The dust vacuum container (5) is detachably connected to the suction pipe (2) and the dust vacuum container (5) is arranged as a unit which can be changed inside the suction unit (1), together with the filter (3). |
