PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer-type thermal transfer printer designed for enhancing workability in an exchange of a thermal head. SOLUTION: The intermediate transfer-type thermal transfer printer 1 is a printing device for performing a primary transfer through the cooperation of a thermal head 21 and a platen roller 20 and a secondary transfer by means of a heat roller 23. The primary transfer is performed while conveying a film F and an ink ribbon R, and the secondary transfer is performed while conveying the film F. Furthermore, in order for an exchange work of the thermal head 21 to be easily made, a thermal-head holding part 60 is hooked up in an attachable and detachable fashion to/from a movable member 30 by means of a hook part 72a of a stop means 71. Accordingly, the thermal-head holding part 60 can be simply removed from the movable member 30, serving to improve the workability in the exchange of the thermal head 60. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
