<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PM purifying reactor having superior durability while maintaining PM purifying function. <P>SOLUTION: A honeycomb structure 20 is arranged which has an upstream side end region 20A and a downstream side end region 20C impregnated with conductive materials and in which a first electrode 31 and a second electrode 32 are formed for applying voltage thereto. An outer periphery electrode 33 is arranged on the outer periphery of at least part of a region 20B excluding the upstream side end region 20A and the downstream side end region 20C of the honeycomb structure 20.
