<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a formed potato snack cake having flavor peculiar to the potato by which the formability is improved; and to provide the formed potato snack cake obtained by the method. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the formed potato snack cake comprises (a) a step of peeling the skin of a raw potato, (b) a step of cutting the peeled potato into a prescribed shape, (c) a step of imparting an adhesive force to the surface of the cut fragment of the potato, (d) a step of obtaining a formed product having a desired shape by sticking the cut fragments of the potato to each other, (e) a step of subjecting the obtained formed product to a freezing treatment, and (f) a step of subjecting the formed product subjected to the freezing treatment to a deeply frying treatment to provide the formed potato snack cake. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
