摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device capable of performing traverse seeking with high access accuracy even when an optical disk has eccentric components, thereby shortening the access time until reaching the target track. SOLUTION: The optical disk device is so configured as to be provided with a compensation means for compensating for a difference between a traverse moving distance and a distance up to the actual target track by controlling tracking-off timing and tracking-on timing so that the phase angle of a disk revolution frequency directly before start seeking is the same as that of the disk revolution frequency after seeking when performing traverse seeking.
