<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically start an execution program that matches an execution file written in a storage medium inserted, while taking the conditions characteristic of a mobile terminal into consideration. <P>SOLUTION: When insertion of a storage medium MCD into a reader is detected, a determination is made as to whether or not an execution file EXF matching an execution program to be automatically started is stored in the storage medium MCD whose insertion was detected (step S11, S12). If the determination is affirmative, a determination is made as to whether or not the execution program is yet to be started by a mobile terminal device 10 (step S14). If the execution program is determined to be unstarted, a standby screen is displayed and a determination is made as to whether or not an operator can view the standby screen (step S15, S16).
