<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a teapot, by which tea is extracted while soaking tea leaves in hot water and keeping them warm with a simple structure, and also the extracted tea is kept warm in an excellent state. <P>SOLUTION: The teapot 1 includes: a vessel body having a heat insulation space layer 6 between an inner vessel 2a and an outer vessel 2b; a shoulder member 3 to be mounted on the upper opening part of the vessel body 2; a tea strainer 4 which is removably hung from the shoulder member 3 and inserted to the vessel body 2 from the insertion hole 3a of the shoulder member 3; and a lid 5. A ring shape first step part 10 is formed at the upper edge of the insertion hole in the shoulder member 3. A lock flange 12 to be hung from the first step part 10 is formed in the peripheral edge of the upper opening part in the tea strainer 4. A ring shape second step part 15 is formed in an inner peripheral part on the upper surface of the lock flange 12.
