PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mirror with variable shape furnished with a function of dividing an incident light beam. SOLUTION: The mirror 110 with variable shape has an upper substrate 120 and a lower substrate 140 which are stuck to each other. The upper substrate 120 has a frame member 122 having an oval open apart 124 and a mirror thin film 126 which closes the open part 124 of the frame member 122. The mirror thin film 126 has a beam split function that the incident light beam is partially transmitted and partially reflected. The mirror thin film 126 is composed of a transparent organic thin film and a metallic thin film, the metallic thin film constitutes a half mirror which does not completely reflect the incident light but partially transmits it. The lower substrate 140 has an optically transparent glass substrate 142, a transparent electrode 146 formed on the glass substrate 142, an external lead electrode 146 formed on the glass substrate 142 and a spacer member 144 fitted on the glass substrate 142.
