PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation device for brake release of a shutter of construction contriving facility of installation working, cost reduction, narrowing of an arrangement space and the like. SOLUTION: A brake device brakes when pulling a wire, and releases when loosening the wire. The operation device comprises: an operation lever 97 connecting one end of the wire to an operation part 90, supported fluctuationaly around a support shaft 99 in the operation part, and operated by braking posture pulling the wire in substantially flush of the operation part and releasing posture loosening the wire by being inclined and projected forward from the front of the operation part; a lock mechanism for locking the operation lever into the braking posture; a push button 98 for releasing the brake device by releasing a locked state by the lock mechanism to change the operation lever into the releasing posture; and an automatic release means 93 for releasing the locked state by the lock mechanism when inputting a sensor signal detecting a fire.
