PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric thermos pot wherein substances causing scale stuck to the inside of a container and remaining chloride can be removed and to provide an electric thermos pot which has reduced power consumption during keeping warm. SOLUTION: Paint containing tourmaline X is applied to the inner surface of the container. The substances causing scale stuck to the inside of the container and the remaining chloride can be removed by the action of the tourmaline X electrolyzing water. A lid is provided inside the container and has a lower surface formed nearly flat and has a specific weight lower than that of water. Consequently, steaming from the surface of hot water is prevented and heat is not lost as the result of being used for generating steam, thereby power consumption for keeping warm is reduced.
