PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitance type liquid sensor suitable as both an inclination sensor and an acceleration sensor, and having excellent stability and reliability. SOLUTION: A rectangular opening extending in the vertical direction is provided on the side face of a cylindrical vessel made of an electric insulator, having two parallel side faces, and notched parts where notched plate-shaped members can be inserted are provided on corners positioned on the outside of the vessel relative to all edge faces of the opening. A plate main electrode having a silicon oxide film formed on the surface on one side is inserted so as to abut on the bottom surface of the notched part in the state where the oxide film is faced to the vessel inside, to thereby seal a clearance. Conductive liquid having approximately a half of the content volume is enclosed in the vessel, and a metal sub-electrode is inserted from the vessel upper face so that its tip is dipped sufficiently deeply into the conductive liquid in the vessel.
