PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge mechanism for the game machines which facilitates the mounting of an open/close member such as a front frame on a base member such as an outer frame. SOLUTION: A lower hinge mechanism 10 for the game machines has a lower metal fixture 20 which is fastened on the outer frame 1 and has a shaft part 23, a lower oscillation metal fitting 30 which is fastened on the front frame 2 and has a shaft hole 33a and a guide hole 33b formed in a plate-like part 32 and an elastic shaft engaging member 40 which is provided on the plate-like part 32 and engageable with the shaft part 23. When the shaft part 23 is introduced into the guide hole 33b of the plate-like part 32, it comes in contact with the guide part 42 of the shaft engaging member 40 so that the shaft engaging member 40 is elastically deformed and pushed open by the shaft part 23 as it 23 moves into the shaft hole 33a along the guide hole 33b. When the shaft part 23 is positioned in the shaft hole 33a, the shaft engaging member 40 is returned to get a shaft engaging part 41 engaged with the shaft part 23, thereby regulating the movement of the shaft part 23 into the guide hole 33b.
