PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing device of relatively simple structure comprising a developing/agitating means capable of surely developing and agitating processing liquid on a plate-shaped support to which a specimen is stuck to an attached surface without requiring difficult manual work. SOLUTION: In this processing device 1, a specimen S is processed with a processing liquid R supplied to (existing on) the attached surface P1 of a plate-shaped support P where the specimen S is attached. The processing device 1 comprises a processing part 2 in which the support P is installed, a developing/agitating member 3 in a roughly cylindrical form to roll on the attached surface P1 to get in contact with the processing liquid S while developing and agitating the processing liquid S, a rolling means 4 to roll the member 3, and a distance regulating means to maintain an interval between the member 3 and the attached surface P1. As the developing/agitating means 3 is rolled by a rolling means 4 in the processing device 1, the processing liquid S is developed and agitated while the member 3 keeps the interval by the distance regulating means.
