The invention relates to a method for welding together a first structural component (1), consisting of a nickel, nickel/iron or cobalt base superalloy, with a second structural component (2), consisting of a high-alloy, high-temperature steel. The method is characterized by applying, by way of friction welding, a high-temperature steel intermediary (5) to the connecting surface (6) of the first structural component (1) designated for welding, by welding the intermediary (5) onto the first structural component (1) under the effect of a compressive force (F) and simultaneously rotating the intermediary (5). The first component (1) that is provided with the intermediary (5) is then welded together with the second high-temperature steel component (2) by known welding methods.
