Oil-in-water emulsion cosmetics characterized by being excellent in feelings in use (nongreasiness and retention of moistness) and in long-term emulsion stability, which comprise (A) one or more members selected from the group consisting of esters of ditrimethylolpropane with fatty acids, polyconden- sates of ditrimethylolpropane with polycarboxylic acids, polycondensates of the esters with polycarboxylic acids, polycondensates of ditrimethlolpropane/polycarboxylic acid polycondensates with fatty acids, and polycondensates of ditrimethylolpropane with fatty acids and polycarboxylic acids, (B) a nonionic surfactant having an HLB of 10 or above and/or an ionic surfactant having an HLB of 10 or above, and (C) an aqueous component, with the hydroxyl value (OHV) of the component (A) falling within the range of 10 to 150.
