PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new organic compound useful for improving the properties of an electrophotographic receptor, an electrophotographic receptor free from the troubles of the lowering of the image density caused by the potential variation of a solid black image part caused by the lowering of sensitivity liable to be generated in a high-speed copying or under low-temperature and humidity environment and the lowering of sharpness caused by the thinning of the printed letter, a process cartridge produced by using the electrophotographic receptor, an image-forming method and an image-forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The organic compound is expressed by general formula (1) (R<SB>1</SB>to R<SB>8</SB>are each H, a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, an alkoxy or a halogen atom; Ar<SB>1</SB>to Ar<SB>6</SB>are each a substituted or unsubstituted aryl or an aralkyl wherein Ar<SB>1</SB>and Ar<SB>2</SB>or Ar<SB>3</SB>and Ar<SB>4</SB>may be bonded together to form a ring; and n is 1 or 2).
