PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a top curl forming processing method for a paper cup made platable when used and reinforced in its top curl part by further involving the curled top of the paper cup on the same paper cup forming machine without causing a problem after finish curling in the forming of the top curl part of the paper cup. SOLUTION: In the top curl forming processing of the paper cup for forming the top curl part by outward curling the peripheral edge of the upper end opening part of the paper cup, which has an annular leg part formed by joining and bonding a body part and a bottom part, while guiding the peripheral edge along a groove part having a curved surface, a finish curling mold is reduced diametrically after finish curling and the part finish-curled in the finish curling process is further involved in the groove part having a curved surface to reinforce the top curl part.
