RADIO COMMUNICATION SYSTEM, INFORMATION PROCESSING TERMINAL, AND INFRARED COMMUNICATION DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform communications in a network environment using wireless LAN (local area network) access points. SOLUTION: A radio communication system comprises; an information processing terminal 1 having a radio communication means for radio communication and an infrared communication means for infrared communication; a network connection means 2 which connects the information processing terminal 1 to a network 5; and infrared communication equipment 3 having an infrared communication means connected to the network connection means through the network 5. The above-mentioned problem is solved by that the information processing terminal 1 has; a setting information acquisition means which uses the infrared communication means of the information processing terminal 1 to acquire setting information related to the network connection means from the infrared communication equipment 3; an address information acquisition means which uses the infrared communication means of the information processing terminal 1 to acquire address information related to the infrared communication equipment 3 from the infrared communication device 3; and a connection means which uses the radio communication means to perform connection to the infrared communication device 3 through the network connection means 2.
