<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catching implement for a ball game, which always allows for keeping a ball receiving opening of a ball receiving bag into a substantially desired shape, even if the shape of the ball receiving bag deformed by the impact of a received ball is not adjusted, and which facilitates immediate replacement of the ball receiving bag, while a frame for holding the ball receiving bag is firmly connected to a grip. <P>SOLUTION: In the ball receiving bag 1, at least a part extended from the grip 4 is fixed to a shape retaining frame 2 in the ball receiving opening 5 for receiving the ball 44, and parts of the shape retaining frame 2, to which fixing cylinder portions 8 and 9 are fixed, are formed with position limiting recessed portions 19 and 20, respectively. The position limiting recessed portions 19 and 20 are formed into a sufficient depth to permit sliding displacement of the respective fixing cylinder portions 8 and 9, when receiving force of the ball 44 entering the ball receiving bag 1, and to actuate a position limiting force large enough to prevent useless movement, when the fixing cylinder portions are returned to the original positions. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
