PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating device improved in heat efficiency by reducing the radiation of heat at a heat reflecting plate due to convection heat transmission. SOLUTION: In arranging the heat reflecting plate 238 or 239 in a fixing device 23, heat radiation amount due to convection from an outer side surface of the heat reflecting plate 238 or 239 is dependent on the orientation of the surface. Considering the dependency, an upward perpendicular direction projected area Su, a horizontal direction projected area Sh, and a lower perpendicular direction projected area Sd for the outer side surface of the heat reflecting plate are substituted in a formula,η=(Su+0.77Sh+0.54Sd)/(Su+Sh+Sd) for obtaining a convection heat transmissionη.
