MAGNIFICATION READING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnification reading device whose size is formed to be small even when a flat monitor such as a liquid crystal monitor is in use and which can be readily carried by compactly folding the entire device when not in use. SOLUTION: The magnification reading device is provided with: a lower case body 3 including an original platen placed in a horizontal attitude; an upper case body 1 pivotally fitted and coupled to the rear end of the lower case body 3 in forward / backward directions in an openable / closable manner and whose open angle is kept at a tilt angle of nearly 45 degrees; the flat monitor 5 such as a liquid crystal display monitor suspended to the inner face of a tip of the upper case body 1 in a rockable / fixable way; and a camera 7 provided while facing the original platen integrally with or separately from the monitor 5, and a housing part for housing the flat monitor 5 folded toward the case and a recessed part 2 for housing the camera 7 are formed in the inner face of the upper case body 1.
