PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the leakage of a hydraulic fluid from a gap between both side faces of gears to the inward directions of bearing holes while preventing the operating load of the gears. SOLUTION: This liquid pump comprises a cam ring 4 in which a pump chamber 20 is formed, a pair of driving and driven gears 6, 7 rotatably provided in the cam ring, and a side plate 5 arranged on the side face of the cam ring. Plate members 28, 29 are provided between each of both side faces of the cam ring and each of the opposed faces of a pump housing and the side plate opposed thereto and hole edges 30a-33a of shaft holes 30-33 of the plate member through which journal shafts 8a-9b are inserted are formed extending inward to close one end openings of the bearing holes 12, 13, 23, 24, thus preventing the flow of the hydraulic fluid from the pump chamber to the bearing holes.
