The glove (1) contains a barrier layer (4) comprising a membrane (6) which is substantially impermeable to water and air, permeable to water vapor and either substantially impermeable to chemical toxins or capable of delaying the passage of these toxins. The membrane is located between the carrier layer (3) and adsorption layer (5). The glove is breathable and comprises a multi- layer material (2) with a preferably flat carrier layer and a barrier layer for the toxins located on the inside of the carrier layer. The adsorption layer comprises a material used to adsorb the toxins, preferably an active carbon- based material. Independent claims are also included for breathable protective gloves made from the above material in which either (i) the glove material and/or membrane has a barrier effect against chemical weapons (especially bis[2-chloroethyl]sulfide of no more than 4 mu g/cm 2>per 24 h for a membrane thickness of 50 microns, (ii) the glove has a water vapor permeability of at least 10 l/m 2>per 24 h at 25[deg]C for a membrane thickness of 50 microns, or (iii) the glove has a water vapor flow resistance under stationary conditions of no more than 30 (m 2>.Pa)/W at 35[deg]C for a membrane thickness of 50 microns.
|
