<p>A cutter for wide adhesive tape used for packing etc., capable of being easily adhered to an object with one hand while a non-adhesive tab portion that facilitates tape peeling after the adhesion is being formed along the length direction of an adhesive tape side edge. The adhesive-tape cutter has, on one end of a body bracket, a supporting portion for rotatably supporting an adhesive tape rolled-up body and, on the other end, a cut portion for cutting off a portion of the tape pulled out from the rolled-up body. A superposed portion-forming portion is provided in the midway of a tape pull-out path led from the supporting portion up to the cut portion. The superposed portion-forming portion has an adhesive surface side member provided on the adhesive surface side of the tape and a non-adhesive surface side member provided on the non-adhesive surface side of the tape. The superposed portion-forming portion causes an edge in the length direction of the tape to be folded back, with a predetermined width, to the adhesive surface side and adhered to the surface by inserting through and pulling out the tape between the adhesive surface side member and the non-adhesive side member while the tape is being pressed to be in contact with the members. A tape cover is provided on an outer periphery of the supporting portion. The tape cover is pivotably supported by the body bracket, in contact with an outer periphery of the adhesive-tape rolled-up body, and forms a grip portion together with the supporting portion.</p> |
