PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive which does not cause foaming, peeling and the like under heat or wet heat conditions, and relaxes the stress concentration caused by the stretching or contraction of a polarizing plate or the like not to cause color shading and a void in a liquid crystal device. SOLUTION: This pressure-sensitive adhesive comprises a copolymer (A) having a weight average molecular weight of 1,000,000 to 2,000,000 obtained by radical copolymerization of a monomer (a) having a reactive functional group and another monomer (b), 20-100 pts.wt., based on 100 pts.wt. copolymer (A), copolymer (B) having a weight average molecular weight of 10,000 to 100,000 obtained by the radical copolymerization of a monomer (c) having a carboxy group and another monomer (d) in the presence of the copolymer (A), and 0.003-3 pts.wt. polyfunctional compound (C) having at least two reactive functional groups capable of reacting with the above copolymer (A) and/or the above copolymer (B).
