PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front body structure of an automobile capable of remarkably improving energy absorbing efficiency due to loads applied from the front of the vehicle body. SOLUTION: In the front body structure, a front side member 1 and a bumper reinforcement 2 connected the front of the front side member 1 through a connection member 3 are off-set in the vertical direction of the vehicle body. A front side member connection member 11 arranged apart from the bumper reinforcement 2 in the vertical direction of the vehicle body is provided in the vehicle width direction in front of the front side member 1. The connection member 3 is provided in the front side of the vehicle body, and it includes an upper and lower connection parts 3a, 3b connected to the bumper reinforcement 2 and the front side member connection member 11 respectively, and a backward connection part 3c arranged in the backside of the vehicle body and connected to the front end part of the front side member 1.
