OIL-BASED COSMETIC PREPARATION

An oil-based cosmetic preparation which comprises (a) an oil-compatible gellant, (b) an oily ingredient, and (c) one or more members selected from the group consisting of ester compounds represented by the following general formula (I) which are products of the reaction of ditrimethylolpropane with a fatty acid, polycondensates of ditrimethylolpropane with a polycarboxylic acid, polycondensates of an ester compound represented by the general formula (I) with a polycarboxylic acid, polycondensates of a fatty acid with a polycondensate of ditrimethylolpropane with a polycarboxylic acid, and polycondensates of ditrimethylolpropane with a fatty acid and a polycarboxylic acid, wherein the ingredient (c) has a hydroxy value (OHV) of 10 to 150. This oil-based cosmetic preparation has satisfactory applicability and gives a cosmetic film excellent in gloss and non-dry feeling and having satisfactory shape retention.
