PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid level sensor system for small-sized electronic devices capable of grasping the residual quantity of a liquid inside a storage container, and does not need to form a projection for detecting a liquid level on the external surface of the storage container. SOLUTION: When the liquid level of an ethanol solution is below the optical path of a beam of radiated light from a light-emitting device array 103, it becomes rectilinear propagation light 121 and propagates towards a light-receiving element array 101, after being transmitted through a wall surface 106 on the light-emitting device side. In contrast with this, when the liquid level of the ethanol solution is above the optical path of the radiated light, it becomes reflected light 121 and does not propagate towards the light-receiving element array 101. Those which received the light out of the light-receiving elements 102a-h of the array send signals outside. A controller being outside determines that the light-receiving elements which transmitted the signals are below the liquid level of the ethanol solution, and causes a display unit to display its result as the residual quantity of the ethanol solution.
