摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an organic-inorganic hybrid material high in mechanical strength, usable as a bulk material, enabling itself to be of high modulus, easily controllable in the proportion of its organic phase and inorganic phase over a wide range, and inexpensive in the material cost in terms of inorganic material source, and to provide a method for producing the organic-inorganic hybrid material. SOLUTION: The organic-inorganic hybrid material is obtained by copolymerization between a polysilicic acid urethane compound obtained by reaction between a polymerizable isocyanate compound having a polymerizable functional group and an isocyanate group and a polysilicic acid to form a urethane linkage between the two compounds and a monomer copolymerizable with the polysilicic acid urethane compound.
