PURPOSE: A drainage freezing preventing device of an outdoor unit for an air conditioner is provided to prevent the drainage freezing and accumulative freezing of a drainage way and a drain hole by operating and controlling a plate-shaped heater mounted along the bottom side of the drainage way in a constant temperature range and heating the bottom side of the drainage way. CONSTITUTION: A drainage freezing preventing device of an outdoor unit(1) for an air conditioner is composed of a base plate(11) having a drainage way(12) comprising a plurality of drain holes(13) penetrating the bottom side along the lower side of an outdoor heat exchanger(40) installed along the inner edge of a casing(10) and a heater disposed along the bottom side of the drainage way of the base plate to restrict the drainage from being frozen by heating the bottom side of the drainage way.
