PURPOSE: A method for providing a service for recorded sound information in a communication terminal is provided so that the user of a communication terminal can remotely access his communication terminal through another terminal and easily confirm the recorded details stored in the communication terminal. CONSTITUTION: A user sets the items associated with remote access to recorded sound information using his communication terminal(201). If a call connection request is received(202), the communication terminal waits during a preset time(203). If the preset time expired, the communication terminal makes a call connection with the calling side and announces the contents appointed for message recording to the caller(204). Then the communication terminal confirms whether a password has been inputted during the recording announcement(205). In case that a password has been inputted, the communication terminal checks whether the inputted password is correct(207). If the inputted password is correct, the communication terminal announces menus for recorded sound information(208). If the user appoints specific sound information(209), the communication terminal provides the appointed sound information(210).
