PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a product design supporting system for acquiring the optimal design result of a wiring board and a distribution board or the like by preventing the design result from being made different even when a person in charge of design or a design period is different. SOLUTION: This product design supporting system is provided with an information storing means 2 for storing the data of an equipment unit, a specification inputting means 1 for inputting specifications necessary for an operator, an equipment unit selecting means 3 for selecting the equipment unit by retrieving the information storing means 2 based on the inputted specifications, an array order deciding means 4 for deciding the array order of the selected equipment units and a unit arrangement deciding means 5 for deciding a space between the equipment units from the gutter space information of the adjacent equipment units whose array order is decided, and for deciding the arrangement of the equipment units.
