PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unsaturated polyester resin and a resin concrete composition which exhibit little shrinkage at the time of curing, show no development of cracks, provide moldings excellent in dimensional accuracy, have high strengths and provide moldings excellent in appearance. SOLUTION: An unsaturated polyester resin for resin concrete comprises dicyclopentadiene, an unsaturated polyester obtained from an unsaturated polybasic carboxylic acid or the unsaturated polybasic carboxylic acid together with a saturated polybasic carboxylic acid and a polyhydric alcohol comprising (A) glycerin and (B) at least one polyalkylene glycol selected from the group consisting of a polyethylene glycol, a polypropylene glycol and a polybutylene glycol, having a number average molecular weight of 200 or more, and a polymerizable unsaturated monomer.
