<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parking control method and system that enable setting of and pre-adjustment of a fee system wherein the use fees depend on a plurality of parking spaces, and can prevent illegal use. <P>SOLUTION: A parking ticket is issued at a gate to a parking system to record an entry time and a parking ticket number. Upon parking, a parking time is acquired, and after the parking, a parking space number and the parking ticket number are associated for authentication. At a pre-adjustment, the parking space associated with the parking ticket number is checked for leaving, and the applicability of a fee system is determined. At the same time, at least adjustment completion information, an adjustment time and the fee system applicability are acquired and recorded in association with the parking ticket number. Management at an exit of the parking system determines a mode of use of the parking system, that is, authenticated use or illegal use, according to illegal authentication information, the adjustment completion information, the adjustment time, the fee system applicability, the presence or absence of leaving from the parking space associated with the parking ticket number, a leaving time, and whether a time from leaving to exiting is within a given post-leaving exit grace time or not. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
