PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable semiconductor laser by preventing application of a stress to a semiconductor laser element thereby eliminating shift of the output laser light. SOLUTION: The semiconductor laser comprises a semiconductor laser element 1, a condensing optical element 2, a casing 3 for containing them, and a power supply 4 for supplying power to the semiconductor laser element 1. Since power lines 5 for supplying power from the power supply 4 to the semiconductor laser element 1 are laid through a terminal block 8, stress is not applied directly to the semiconductor laser element 1.
