The textile sheeting is produced by mesh formation, and comprises mesh zones joined to one another by means of weaker meshes forming a proposed breakage line. The mesh zones and breakage lines run transversely relative to the longitudinal direction of the sheeting. An independent claim is also included for an application of the proposed textile sheeting as a cover material for a motor vehicle seat with an airbag.
