A display device and a control method thereof are provided to integrated memories storing EDID into one, thereby simplifying a transmission structure of the EDID. A main storage part(200) stores EDID each corresponding to a plurality of connectors. In a temporary storage part(320), the EDID stored in the main storage part is loaded. When power is applied, a controller(600) loads the EDID stored in the main storage part into the temporary storage part. If a request signal for EDID is received from the connector, the controller transmits EDID, corresponding to the request signal among the loaded EDID, through the connector. |
