<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing apparatus, an image forming apparatus and a fixing method for preventing fixing failure. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus starts image formation (S1, S4). When a transfer sheet enters the nip between a fixing roller and a pressure roller, the surface temperature of the fixing roller decreases because the transfer sheet and the toner consume the heat. When the surface temperature of the fixing roller reaches the preliminarily determined temperature TA (TA>TB, wherein TB is the lower limit of fixing temperature), electric power is supplied from a capacitor to turn on a second heater 5 (S6, S8) so as to simultaneously turn on the first and second heaters 4, 5 by a commercial power supply and the power supply from the capacitor. As a time t is passed for the operation of the second and consecutive sheets, the electric power is supplied from the capacitor on the basis of the temperature TB as the reference which is lower than the temperature TA to control to heat a second heater (S5, S7, S8). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
