PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to restart playing after the battery is replaced from the point where the playing is halted. SOLUTION: This battery-driven disk player is provided with a reproduction means 12 for reading data from an optical disk and reproducing them, a battery 10 as a power source, a residual quantity detection means 11 for detecting a residual quantity of the battery 10, a display means 14 for performing predetermined display when the residual quantity of the battery 10 is less than a predetermined quantity, an operation detection means 15 for detecting a predetermined operation by a user corresponding to the predetermined display, a storage means 13 for storing positional information of recording the data under reproduction when the operation is detected, and a control means 16 for controlling the reproduction means 12 so that the reproduction is restarted from the recorded position of the data stored in the storage means 13 after the battery 10 is replaced.
