<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify an operating state of an image output device to an imager in response to an inquiry from an imager when a plurality of the imagers and the image output device are connected by radio. <P>SOLUTION: When a digital camera 302 and a printer 301 are connected by radio and while an output process of image information requested by the digital camera 302 is being carried out by the printer 301, a connection request by radio from a digital camera 303 is accepted, and the operating state of the printer 301 is notified in response to the inquiry from the digital camera 303.
