PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking device for a fluid pressure cylinder, in which intermediate lock is possible at a desired position interlocked with a piston rod, in which it can be easily controlled, and in which locking can be securely conducted in both directions with sufficient locking force. SOLUTION: A locking cylinder 10 is provided on a rod side cover 4 in which the piston rod 6 is inserted through to protrude to supply/discharge fluid pressure from a rod side port 8 provided in the rod side cover through the inside of the rod side cover. A lock piston 19 slidable in the lock cylinder and a pair of lock members 12 and 13 are connected by a pair of link levers 28 and 29 in such a way that the lock members are inclined in opposite directions to each other as the lock piston slides.
