PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display panel module having a black frame suitable to a film type front filter and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A PDP 130 having a upper plate 115 and a lower late 125 brought into contact with each other as shown in Fig. A is prepared, and black ceramic after being printed on the front of the upper plate 115 along the external edge is heat-treated and baked. Consequently, the black frame 90 is fixed to the upper plate 115 of the PDP 130 as shown in Fig. B. In this case, the baking temperature of the black ceramic is set within the same range with the baking temperature of the black ceramic included in a glass type front filter. As shown in Fig. C, a film type front filter 80 is separately prepared and fitted to the front of a PDP 130 where the black frame 90 is formed. The film type front filter is prevented from being damaged (e.g. cracking) in a baking process during the formation of the black frame 90. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
