<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal capable of preventing power from being left unapplied after power-off without the need for setting a power-off time and a power-on time in detail. <P>SOLUTION: When a user makes a power-off operation, a control section 10 confirms whether or not a memory 14 stores a flag showing that power application forget prevention is set on, and when the memory 14 stores the flag, a time count timer 23 is started. Then the control section 10 is shifted to a sleep mode. When the time count timer 23 passes a notice time, the control section 10 starts only necessary minimum functions used for the notice. When a sensor 17 and a microphone 22 sense vibration and noise respectively, the control section 10 informs the user about it by means of vibration or voice. When the user is aware of the notice and performs a power-on operation, the control section 10 brings each section of a mobile phone 1 to an ordinary power-on state.
