<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To show sealing ability of a mechanical seal even if eccentricity is generated in a rotor, and to accurately assemble the mechanical seal at the same time when combining the rotor and a main body. <P>SOLUTION: In this mechanical seal 2, a seal surface 5A of a fixing seal ring 5 held by the main body 30 and an opposite seal surface 15A of a rotating seal ring 15 held by the rotor 20 are pushed by an elastic means 3 and tightly brought in contact with each other. One of the fixing seal ring 5 and the rotating seal ring 15 has a joint part 4B to be tightly brought in contact with a back surface, the main body 30 for elastically supporting the joint part 4B to hold the seal ring, or a bellows 4 provided with a cylindrical seal part 4A to be tightly fitted to the rotor 20 for sealing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
