PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone exchange system capable of informing a caller about detailed information with respect to incoming call rejection. SOLUTION: When an incoming call arrives in a terminal (A)10<SB>A</SB>, an incoming call control means 21 of a master unit 20 refers to a control data storage means 24 to discriminate the incoming call, when an incoming reject mode is activated, a notice means 22 reads detailed information related to the incoming call reject of a called party from an incoming call reject information storage means 23 and informs a caller terminal (B)10<SB>B</SB>about the information. Thus, the system can deliver the detailed information related to the incoming call reject by the called party such as a reason of the incoming call rejection or an incoming call rejection mode release time to the caller.
