PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition highly satisfying both of low rolling resistance and abrasion resistance without damaging gripping properties; and to provide a tire using the rubber composition. SOLUTION: The rubber composition comprises (A) 100 pts.wt. dienic rubber component, (B) 0.1-20 pts.wt. organotin compound represented by formula (1): R<SB>m</SB>SnY<SB>4-m</SB>(wherein, R is a hydrocarbon group; Y is laurate, malate or mercaptide; and m is an integer of 1-3), (C) 0.1-20 pts.wt. thiuram-based compound represented by formula (2) (wherein, n is an integer of 1-4; and R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>are each a≤12C hydrocarbon group) and (D) a carbon black, regulated so that the total content of the organotin compound (B) and the thiuram-based compound (C) is 0.01-0.2 time as much as the content of the carbon black (D).
